How do I register for an event?

How to register:

1. Be sure you are not using a tablet or mobile device. Go to JPIIHealingCenter.org.

2. Create a user account on the website by clicking the "login" button at the right-hand corner of the screen.

3. Scroll down and fill out all of the required fields.

4. Once you have created an account, click on the ‘home’ button.

5. Select the event you would like to register for.

6. Once you have selected the event, it will bring you to an event registration page. Scroll down, fill out the information and click 'register'.

7. That will lead you to a cart with the one event in it. Then click 'checkout'.

8. That will lead you to a payment page where you can enter your payment. You will have the option of paying by check (by just clicking the ACH box then entering your check info), or by credit card.

9. Once you’ve entered your payment, your registration is complete. You should receive an email receipt soon after. If you do not receive an emailed receipt, then your registration has not been processed.

Are accommodations provided?

Each conference location/host is different. Please email the contact person of the conference you are interested in for more information.

Are meals included?

Each conference location/host is different. Please email the contact person of the conference you are interested in for more information.

Do I need to come with my spouse?

We highly recommend you attend as a couple to get the most out of the conference.

Who should attend this conference?

This conference is for all married couples, whether in your 1st or 50th year of marriage. Whether struggling or thriving. All will encounter new levels of intimacy, passion and healing.
*engaged couples are welcome

Is babysitting available?

Each conference location/host is different. Please email the contact person of the conference you are interested in for more information.

Are there scholarship opportunities available?

We do have a limited number of partial scholarships available. We ask that these be reserved for those in great need of financial help. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please send an email (info@jpiihealingcenter.org) stating your situation and need for help. We will prayerfully discern how to distribute these limited funds and respond accordingly.

Are meals provided at the conference?

At the conference, we will provide a light breakfast each day, lunch (Monday-Thursday), snacks and two dinners (Tuesday and Thursday evenings). All other meals are the responsibility of the participant. (There are grocery stores and restaurants very close by.)

Will I have to share intimate details about my marriage in front of others?

No. With the exception of those who volunteer for a certain few demonstrations, you will only engage in one on one intimacy building exercises with your spouse.

What do I need to bring to the conference?

We will provide workbooks with some space for journaling. Feel free to bring your own journal, as well as your Bible, if you’d like. You may need a light jacket or sweater for the conference room, if you tend to get cold easily.

Good Shepherd is a “green” facility. They desire to reduce the amount of waste and ask that we do the same and minimize our use of cups. If you have a re-useable water bottle and /or insulated coffee cup that you can bring, it would help this cause. However, we will provide cups (and there will be plenty of them) if needed.

Please check the weather before you come. In Tallahassee you never know what each day holds!

Is there a wireless connection available at the conference?

There is not a wireless connection available. However, there is cell phone reception.

Do you have to be Catholic to attend this conference?

You do not have to be Catholic to attend this conference. We have many non-Catholic participants, and love to welcome all to attend. We just ask that you remain open to our Catholic faith and practices.

How many people attend this conference?

There will be about 50 participants and 40 team members in attendance.

What does each day of the conference look like?

A typical day at the conference begins at 8am and ends at about 6pm with daily Mass. It is filled with lectures, journaling, adoration and plenty of free time for reflection or relaxation. You will have an opportunity for confession as well as an individual meeting with a small prayer team.

When does the conference begin and end so I can plan my travel?

The conference begins on Monday at about 11:30am and ends on Friday at about 1:30pm. We recommend arrival before the conference to be on Sunday afternoon and departure after the conference on Friday afternoon after 3:30 (if flying).

Will transportation be provided?

Transportation is the responsibility of the participant and will not be provided by the JPII Healing Center. However, in an effort to assist participants in need of transportation, we will collect and publish a list of those attendees who are available to support those in need of transportation. During the event registration please answer the additional questions concerning transportation as needed. If you would like the possibility of help with transportation, to and from the airport, then we recommend arriving before 8pm on Sunday and departing on Friday afternoon/evening for the greatest likelihood of help.

Will the conference be held at a retreat center?

The conference will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church:

Good Shepherd Catholic Church
4665 Thomasville Road
Tallahassee, FL 32309

Accommodations will not be at the same location. It will be the responsibility of the participant to set up their own accommodations. To help, we do reserve a block of rooms at a local hotel and reserve space at a small local retreat center. Most participants stay at one of these two places, but feel free to stay where ever you like.
