The JPII Healing Center was founded over 10 years ago by Dr. Bob Schuchts, a marriage and family therapist, author and speaker. The JPII Healing Center seeks to provide teaching, healing and equipping for clergy and laity through events and resources in order to bring about transformation in the heart of the Catholic Church.

Job Overview

The JPII HC Bookkeeper/Administrative Support is responsible for supporting the JPII Healing Center in the management of financial accounts and processes, as well as the management of contact data and reconciliation. Working with an accountant, the bookkeeper with manage the tracking of income and expenses. Secondarily, the administrative support will maintain a CRM database, as well as assist with back-office ministry needs in supporting a diverse remote staff.

Reports To

The Bookkeeper/Administrative Support will report to the Director of Operations for the JPII Healing Center (JPII HC).                    

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Maintains records of financial transactions; posts transactions; ensures legal requirements compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of invoices, check requests, deposits, and bill payments.
  • Reconciles and codes monthly credit card activity.
  • Is trained in and has the ability to track donations (including restricted funds) in development and accounting software.
  • Reconciles event income with event budgets.
  • Processes e-commerce income and royalty payments.
  • Assists with data entry and management of contacts by utilizing CRM & development software.
  • Manages the intake of ministry mail and the processing of the content (donations, letters, etc.).
  • Maintains current letters of suitability for the JPII HC speaker team.

Qualifications

  • Practicing Catholic with a mature faith life focused on prayer, personal growth, and a
    deepening relationship with the 3 persons of the Holy Trinity.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft 365 proficient with a focus on Excel and Outlook.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks.
  • Experience with data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team-focused environment.
  • Ability to work independently with a flexible approach to daily work and assigned tasks.
  • Desire to learn and grow professional and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow directives and receive constructive input.
  • Desire to contribute to the overall growth of the ministry.
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive material.

  • Full refunds up to 30 days prior to the event (less a processing fee of approximately 3%).
  • No refunds are provided within 30 days of the event.
  • For parish-hosted weekend events, virtual and livestream events, cancellations less than 30 days are eligible for a credit which can be applied to a future JPII Healing Center event.
  • For weeklong events, cancellations less than 7 days are not eligible for a refund (this is due to the non-refundable deposits made to venues, vendors, etc).
  • No refunds/credits will be provided after any event has begun (i.e. no refunds/credits during/after the event).

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Registrations are not transferable between persons or events.
  • This event is for attendees 18 years old and older.
