As the need for healing becomes ever more prevalent in our culture, it is our desire at the JPII Healing Center, to not only ensure healing events and resources are available to those in need, but to also help equip leaders in the accompaniment of those in their care.  

To meet this need, we have designed a 5-day training program led by Dr. Bob Schuchts, Sr. Miriam James Heidland, and Fr. John Burns to help priests, and especially those preparing for the propaedeutic stage, to integrate healing into their communities. The uniquely engaging format of this retreat will help attendees see and experience God’s healing love for them personally and for all to whom they minister. There will be opportunities to not only engage intimately with the “Healing the Whole Person” teaching, but also to grow in confidence in the application of the teaching in praying with others and receiving personal prayer ministry from brother priests. Attendees will also learn more about incorporating the healing components of the teaching into the Sacrament of Reconciliation, spiritual direction, and other pastoral ministries. Kim Glass and Bart Schuchts will also be accompanying retreatants on the week of healing and learning.
